There several manufactures of 1/18 scale. Ertl, Highway 61, Precision Models, Hot Wheels, Greenlight, Johnny Lightning, Maisto, Jada, Shelby Collectibles, GMP, and many more...

Many diecast collectors steer away from 1/18 scale due to the cost and size. There are not many ways to modify or customize them. You don't want to cut up a 40 or 50 dollar car for parts. GMP now has many custom parts for certian makes and models, along with diorama accessories. You definetly need space if you want to collect and display them. Ertl 1969 Chevelle SS 396
This 69 Chevelle is one of the later models from Ertl. Towards the end they began adding much more detail to their cars. I hated to see them stop manufacturing the cool cars they produced...

Precision Models 1964 Ford Thunderbolt
This 64 Thunderbolt is one of my faveroite in my 1/18 collection. The detail on this car is amazing. The hood pins are real, every emblem is readable and right to scale, and even has a set of keys hanging from the ignition switch...
